Richard Cooper at COMSERV

Group Executive Manager

With over 30 years' experience in the social housing sector combining his experience in Local Authority, Housing Association and now the commercial sector, Richard joined Jacobs Construction in 2003 as the Business Development Manager. In 2005, he was instrumental in the merger of two companies to create comserv (UK) Ltd where he took up the role of Group Executive Manager developing the company from five employees to over 200 today. Richard is the direct liaison with the Board and is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organisation, implementing the Company's long and short term plans along with responsibilities for all corporate affairs.

Group Operations Manager

Mike has worked in various roles for the group of companies since 1994 and is now Group Operations Manager. He has the responsibility for providing a high quality, customer focused repairs service to clients, ensuring all stock owned by the Local Authorities or housing associations are managed to the highest possible standard. Specialising in leading change management programmes, Mike has spent the last few years leading Systems Thinking Interventions and undertaking systems remodelling making us the first Social Housing Contractor to redesign our entire business using lean principles.

James Biggs at COMSERV

James Biggs
Electrical Manager

James Biggs has over 20 years’ experience within the electrical and construction industry. Having worked in the social housing, educational and commercial sectors on various contracts he has gained a wealth of experience from small repairs through to Preventative Planned Maintenance of private High Voltage systems and just about everything in between. In previous employment James has been the NICEIC QS for 2 companies, successfully gaining accreditation in one and taking over in another. Since joining Comserv James has introduced new IT equipment meaning all our EICR’s and other tests can be completed online via tablets. This has reduced paperwork and provided huge efficiencies for the admin team behind the scenes. James has also begun identifying and organised the correct training to provide an efficient and skilled team.

Our Directors are firmly committed to achieving and maintaining the highest of standards within comserv by providing transparent and clear lines of responsibilities, leading to achieving the Company’s objectives and delivering long-term value.

comserv is owned by Nick Ralls and Trevor Jacobs who, in 2004, decided to form a joint venture to create comserv UK Ltd.

With their passion, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence along with their extensive construction experience both Nick and Trevor work hard behind the scenes to oversee the company's performance. They manage the safety and long-term strategic health, growth and financial strength of the business.
