comserv was created to provide responsive repairs maintenance to Portsmouth City Council as part of their supplier rationalisation. Formed as a joint venture from two successful local companies in 2004, we have continued to grow through the provision of excellent customer service, high quality delivery and an unrivalled focus on customer care through Systems Thinking methodology.
Delivered through our local, experienced and skilled team of over 150 Operatives we now carry out responsive repairs, planned works and property improvements to over 15,000 Local Authority properties. Our experienced Call Centre manages over 1500 calls per day.
Using a diverse team of skilled Operatives, we currently undertake around 400 visits to our customers’ homes per day from repairs to void works and disabled facilities to planned maintenance.
Our service term contract with Portsmouth City Council is valued at £13m per year.
DOING THE RIGHT WORK AT THE RIGHT TIME
Over the last 10 years we have been providing our responsive repair services when our clients want. If a Resident wants the repair at 2pm on Tuesday, our Resource Handlers will ensure that this happens. This gives them comfort that they have a timed appointment rather than an arbitrary time slot.
Our Operatives are empowered to diagnose the issue when arriving on site and they determine the time the repair will take. They work to our Client's scope of service and only undertake the "value work" i.e. the work that needs to be completed. They are supported by their own intelligent van stock and if the product isn't on their van, our Multi Trade Supplies (MTS) department will deliver it straight away freeing up the Operative to continue to carry on with the work.
